Tasker Builders was formed after the war by Mr Eric Tasker and operated successfully as a local builder from Digby village until Mr Taskers retirement in 1984. The business was then acquired by Pattinson Roofing Co Ltd to undertake building works associated with their roofing contracts.
Since that time, Taskers has grown into a substantial business in its own right, specialising in the refurbishment of listed and historic buildings.
Taskers has a strong workforce of specialist craftsmen and working with leading conservation architects can rebuild and restore any building, using the correct materials and methods whether the building dates from medieval times or any period up to the present day.
As an example, our recent contract to restore Boston Guildhall won the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors East Midlands Regional Award as both Best Building Conservation Project and Best Project in the East Midlands, as well as the Civic Pride Award from the Boston Preservation Trust.
