Tattershall Castle

Tattershall Castle is one of Lincolnshire’s best known landmarks. Owned by the National Trust this massive tower-keep is one of the best examples of medieval brickwork in Britain. It was constructed in 1434 - 46 of locally made bricks.

For the past six years our craftsmen have spent three months each summer painstakingly repointing and repairing brickwork with the type of lime mortar that would originally have been used. Taskers have worked on all areas of the castle from the moat walls to the top of the keep.
